Scholarly Books (monographs)

Taking advantage of pre-defined subject language (in contrast to "keyword" searching), you can limit your search results to just monographs in the realm of biblical studies.

Using the example of 1st Corinthians 11:17-34, the base search strategy would look like this:

1st corinthians interpretation [and limit the search to "subject" if possible]

This is an abbreviated form of the full subject heading Bible. Corinthians, 1st - Criticism, interpretation, etc.

You could go a step further and to this string of subject terms add lord's supper, which is fine to do for the BITH 528 assignment but some monographs could contain substantial discussions on the Lord's Supper without explicit mention of that topic in the catalog record.
