Subject Librarians

Each academic department is assigned a subject librarian who is responsible for all instruction, research assistance & support, subject and course guides, and collection development for the relevant field or discipline(s) of that department. Subject and Course Guides

Wheaton College Library provides online, research guides (LibGuides) to assist students in a particular field of inquiry or course. Wheaton College Library's complete list of course and subject guides. To inquiry about a custom guide for your course or discipline reach out to your subject librarian.

Course Reserves

Faculty can request items to be placed on reserves that are currently a part of the library's collection, your personal collection, or as purchase for the library's collection. To place library items on course reserves, please use one of these options:

  • Create an online course list through resourcelists.library.wheaton.edu
  • Bring the desired item(s) to the Circulation Desk at least 3 days before they need to be on reserve. Complete the paper form designating the course code, name, and time period for reserve access.

To place items from your personal collection on reserve, please use the paper form at the Circulation Desk in the Library (Main). If the item you want to place on reserve needs to be purchased, please coordinate with the appropriate subject librarian.
