Faith-Based Networks
In an effort to better assist the world's impoverished, the president of Food for the Hungry made the decision to form a network of Christian organizations forty years ago. In 1977, a group of twelve organizations convened in Wheaton, Illinois, including MAP, World Vision, World Concern, MAF, and World Relief. With its founding, the Accord Network opened its doors to other organizations that prioritized Christ, professionalism, relief, and development. Founded as AERDO in 1978, the network now has over 130 members who share the mission of helping the world's impoverished in the name of Jesus.
