The Journal of Christian Ministry exists to encourage theological reflection regarding the training for and practice of Christian ministry at the highest level.
The Journal of Family and Community Ministries: Resources for Christian Leaders (JFCM) is an online, peer-reviewed journal that provides research-based articles to congregational and ministry leaders as they seek to serve others locally and globally. All articles published by JFCM undergo a rigorous peer-review process to ensure the quality of the publication and trustworthiness of the content for congregational leaders.
The Journal of Pastoral Care & Counseling is a peer-reviewed journal that advances theory and professional practice through scholarly and reflective literature on pastoral and spiritual care, counseling, psychotherapy, education, and research.
The Journal of Pastoral Theology was established in 1990 by the Society for Pastoral Theology to: further the understanding of pastoral theology as a theological discipline and to clarify the nature of the discipline; maintain a view of pastoral theology as a constructive theology that emerges from the exercise of caring relationships, with attention both to present lived experience and to knowledge derived from the past; provide an intentional forum for the voices of diverse persons, women and men, of many cultural and ethnic backgrounds; and foster multi-cultural understandings of issues in the discipline.
The Journal of Religious Leadership is published semi-annually by the Academy of Religious Leadership (ARL). As a peer-reviewed journal, the editorial team assesses articles by four criteria: scholarship (in an effort to promote faithful critical thinking about religious leadership), theological (as ARL is focused on religious leadership, matters of faith and practice are instrumental), expansive (the work of ARL seeks to extend and deepen both religion and leadership), and suggestive (work suggests outcomes, practices, behaviors, implications, etc. for readers to incorporate in their contexts).
The McMaster Journal of Theology and Ministry is an electronic and print journal that seeks to provide pastors, educators, and interested lay persons with the fruits of theological, biblical, and professional studies in an accessible form. Published by McMaster Divinity College in Hamilton, Ontario, it continues the heritage of scholarly inquiry and theological dialogue represented by the College’s previous print publications: the Theological Bulletin, Theodolite, and the McMaster Journal of Theology.
The journal’s mission has always been to contribute to the development of pastoral studies and practical theology by publishing creative articles which report good practice, and which offer fresh theoretical and practical insights in this area. It is multidisciplinary, with contributions drawn from counselling, social work, psychology, sociology, ethics, as well as pastoral and practical theology.
