Communication

Searching the Library's collections

Research tips:

  • Library searches generally work best with two to four keywords.
  • When searching for information about a topic or a person, enter important words about that topic or person.  The search results will refer you both to books in the Library and articles to which we have online access, so you may find it useful to limit the results.
  • Look to the left side of the screen for "Tweak your results" (or the funnel icon on mobile devices), choose "Resource Type" then "Articles" or "Books".

Try it in search box below:

Searching for journal articles

The Library Search above provides access to many journal articles on communication topics. But for a thorough search of journal articles in communication, it is best to search for articles in a journal index that concentrates on communication.

  • The primary index for communication journals is Communication & Mass Media Complete
  • Articles on religious aspects of communication can be found in ATLA Religion Database
  • Articles on interpersonal communication may be found in APA PsycInfo.

More journal searching options are found under "Recommended Resources" on the left column of this page.
