Searching with Library Search on the library website searches many important databases for literary research, including: the library catalog, JSTOR and Project Muse. Enter your search terms below to start your research.

There are other important subject-specific databases that Library Search does not utilize. You will want to check these out when you do literary research.

Provides lively, accessible introductions to major writers, artists, philosophers, topics and periods. This database offers useful background information as well as focused articles.

Provides access to Contemporary Authors, Dictionary of Literary Biography, and selected articles in Contemporary Literary Criticism, as well as other resources.
Literature Criticism Online This link opens in a new window
Literature Criticism Online represents a range of modern and historical views on authors and their works across regions, eras and genres. Contains literature, history and culture with the largest, most extensive compilation of literary commentary available.
