Primo Search Box for LibGuide

Here is some code that will allow you to add a Primo Search box to your LibGuide.

<!-- Script that converts the query string into valid parameter --><script type="text/javascript">
function searchPrimo() {
document.getElementById("primoQuery").value = "any,contains," + document.getElementById("primoQueryTemp").value.replace(/[,]/g, " ");
document.forms["searchForm"].submit();
}
</script></p>

<form action="https://i-share-whe.primo.exlibrisgroup.com/discovery/search?" enctype="application/x-www-form-urlencoded; charset=utf-8" id="simple" method="get" name="searchForm" onsubmit="searchPrimo()" target="_blank">

        <!-- Customizable Parameters -->

        <input name="institution" type="hidden" value="01CARLI_WHE:CARLI_WHE" />

        <input name="vid" type="hidden" value="01CARLI_WHE:CARLI_WHE" />

        <input name="mode" type="hidden" value="basic" />

        <!-- Fixed parameters -->

        <input name="displayMode" type="hidden" value="full" />

        <input name="bulkSize" type="hidden" value="10" />

        <input name="highlight" type="hidden" value="true" />

        <input name="dum" type="hidden" value="true" />

        <input id="primoQuery" name="query" type="hidden" />

        <input name="displayField" type="hidden" value="all" />

        <!-- Enable this if "Expand My Results" is enabled by default in Views Wizard -->

        <input name="pcAvailabiltyMode" type="hidden" value="true" />

        <!-- Visible Inputs -->

        <div class="input-group input-group-lg">

          <input id="primoQueryTemp" size="70%" class="form-control" type="text" value="" />

          <!-- Search Button -->

          <span class="input-group-btn">

            <input alt="Search" id="go" onclick="searchPrimo()" class="btn btn-default" style="font-size: 14px; font-weight: bold; background: #DE6E17; color: #ffffff; text-shadow: 0 1px 0 black;" title=" Library Search" type="button" value="Library Search" />

          </span>

        </div>

</form>

Here is a sample of the search box.
